Transform Lives with Your Taxes

Great news! Arizona has selected Esperança to be part of the Charitable Giving Tax Credit Program – and that means you can make a big difference in the Valley.  It’s simple:  you can choose to pay the state or donate to a great cause.

Don’t Miss this Incredible Opportunity!

What is an Arizona Charitable Tax Credit Donation?

The State of Arizona allows you to claim tax credits for donations to non-profit organizations that support vulnerable population communities in our state.

When you donate up to $400 (single filer) and $800 (joint filer) to Esperança, you may be eligible for the State of Arizona Charitable Giving Tax Credit. With the tax credits, you receive a dollar-to-dollar Arizona tax credit, which means you either get the money refunded during tax time or can use it to pay your Arizona taxes. This is a great way to get reimbursed by the state of Arizona and join our mission of health equity for all.

The donation deadline is April 15, 2022 for the 2021 tax year.

Please note: This is not professional tax or legal advice. For more information on the tax credit, visit the Arizona Department of Revenue website at www.azdor.gov or call at 1-800-352-4090. Esperança, Inc is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit and Esperança Arizona, LLC a Qualifying Charitable Organization. Tax ID# 23-7087997. QCO Code: 22188.

Yes. You can stack your tax credits! There are numerous types of tax credits. The Charitable Giving (formerly working poor) is one type. There is a different AZDOR form required for each type of tax credit and different limits for each category. Check with your tax advisor for specific limits and available credits.
A tax credit is different than a deduction. A deduction lowers the taxable amount of your income. A tax credit reduces the amount of taxes you owe – this can result in a lower tax bill or a larger refund when you file your taxes.
