|Occupation:||Ex-Officio Board Member, Mexico Program|
Kathleen attended the University of Arizona where she met her husband Arnott who is a 4th generation Arizona farmer. After receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in 1983, Kathleen followed Arnott to Goodyear, AZ where she received her Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University. In 1982 Kathleen and Arnott founded Duncan Family Farms and while Arnott focused on operating the farm Kathleen spent most of her career working with vulnerable children and families in Arizona.
In September of 2012 Kathleen became and ‘empty nester’ and decided she wanted to find a way to give back to the community of Rocky Point, Mexico where her family have been vacationing for 25 years. In 2013 she joined the board of Steps of Love and spent the next few years immersed in the community of Rocky Point. In 2015 she formed the Mexican non-profit organization, Educarte, and by 2016 she had launched a program to provide local kids with a path out of poverty through education. Kathleen remains very involved with the program and travels to Rocky Point regularly to provide program oversight and guidance.
