In January 2023 Esperanca fortunately welcomed Mary Jacobs to our Board of Directors for a second time.

Mary Jacobs is Managing Director with Kennedy Wilson for the state of Arizona. She oversees the day to day operations of all types of commercial properties. Her main responsibilities include negotiating service contracts; reviewing budgets; reviewing management and financial reports; overseeing maintenance; analyzing competitive bids for security, janitorial and landscape needs; maintain open and good communication with tenants; hiring, training and supervising the onsite staff; marketing; negotiating and preparing lease agreements; communicating with ownership, and staying abreast of the competitive market.  Other responsibilities include property inspections, reviewing market surveys, monitoring cost control to maximize net operating income; complete cost comparison for in-house versus contract, doing site selection and negotiate purchase/lease contracts for national retail clients. In addition, Mary has served as broker on the sale on distressed properties for the banks, as well as, the Kennedy Wilson Auction Group.

Mary graduated from the University of Wisconsin and holds a Bachelor of science degree in design and business. She is and Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM) Certified Property Manager, and holds a real estate brokers license in Arizona. She is also a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), Valley Partnership, International Real Estate Management (IREM), Phoenix Association of Realtors, and Arizona Multihousing Association.

During her career, Mary has been responsible for the management of over 1 million square feet of high rise and garden building office space, 500,000 square feet of open air shopping center space, 600,000 square feet of industrial space and 20,000 apartments.
