Dr. Sachs has been a part of Esperança’s volunteer surgical missions for the past 8 years, travelling to Bolivia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, and Peru to provide free orthopedic services to the most vulnerable. His team alone has performed over 1,700 surgeries and consultations while providing crucial education to local hospital staff. You can see a glimpse of his work in the photos and video below.
